This singer/songwriter/producer from Texas just released her debut album "Monday Morning," which features an overall R&B vibe, with some tracks that are heavier on hip-hop. When listening to the opening track, I immediately felt old-school R&B energy with a modern twist, and the second track followed very similarly. Both of these songs were slow and emotional, which set the stage for the rest of the album. The third song, "Stroke," took the stage and offered something more upbeat and almost electronic to show off this artist's flow. The following track stays heavier on hip-hop, though it is still emotional and maintains some strong R&B elements. The artist brings R&B back into the album with her emotional and honest track "Fell," which is a theme that continues over the next couple of songs. Closing with "Wanting You," the artist brings back a similar vibe to "Stroke," with borderline electronic elements and mildly more hip-hop energy than the majority of tracks on this album. Overall, I think this is an exciting release that is worth listening to, and I look forward to more releases from Delishia J.
